Volunteering Activity Description:

Our sanctuary offers a Volunteer Program for those who wish to come to Greece and help care for our animals, assist with related activities, gain hands-on experience working with animals, and contribute to a meaningful cause.

Volunteers at our sanctuary will have the opportunity to:
✔️ Gain valuable knowledge and practical experience in animal care and the day-to-day operation of an animal sanctuary (particularly for those pursuing a related professional field)
✔️ Learn about animal welfare challenges, legislation, and advocacy in Greece
✔️ Develop a sense of achievement, self-confidence, and motivation
✔️ Become part of our community and help make a positive difference

Volunteer Duties:
– Feeding the cats and dogs
– Cleaning litter boxes and maintaining the cleanliness of all indoor and outdoor areas of the sanctuary
– Helping care for our garden
– Spending time with our cats through play, socialization, and affection
– Assisting with other tasks as needed, including: taking photos and videos of our cats and dogs to help promote their adoption, making toys and crafts for our charity shop, painting and maintaining our wooden cat houses, supporting other projects as directed by the sanctuary managers

Season: Whole Year

Start date: 01/06/2026 | End date: 31/12/2026

Hosting Details: 1 week – 4 weeks
Between 6-8 hours per day, 5 days per week/2 days off

Minimum age: 18 years | Maximum age: No limit

Qualifications the volunteer should posses:
Animal lovers with experience in cat care (cat owners, animal shelter volunteers, animal caretakers, veterinarians, veterinary assistants, veterinary students, etc.)
Mature, reliable, and responsible individuals
Clean, tidy, hardworking, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our premises
Team players with a positive attitude and good English skills
Photography, social media, and fundraising skills are an advantage

Hosting Organization provides:
Airport pick-up and drop-off
Accommodation
A selection of groceries so volunteers can prepare their own breakfast and lunch (vegan and vegetarian options available)
Training and orientation
Certificate of participation
