Volunteering Activity Description:
Cerca Abroad’s Volunteering and Internship Programs in Greece offer participants practical experience across diverse professional and academic fields, including healthcare, psychology, social work, veterinary sciences, environmental conservation, agriculture, cultural heritage, tourism, business, creative arts, engineering and technology. Programs are tailored to participants’ backgrounds, interests and career goals, combining structured workplace experience, practical learning, mentoring, cultural immersion and engagement with local organizations and professionals. Depending on the placement, activities may include observation, supervised practical work, research, fieldwork, educational activities, community engagement or project support. Participants gain valuable skills, confidence, professional insight and an international perspective while experiencing professional practices in Greece.

Volunteer Duties:
– Participate in supervised professional, educational, research, fieldwork or community-based activities according to the selected placement.
– Support professionals and host organizations with appropriate activities related to the participant’s academic background and area of interest.
– Observe professional practices and, where appropriate, contribute to ongoing projects, research, conservation, educational or community activities.
– Participate in discussions, training sessions, workshops, case reviews or other learning activities relevant to the placement.
– Follow the instructions, policies, safety requirements and professional standards of the host organization at all times.
– Respect confidentiality, privacy, cultural differences and the rights and dignity of beneficiaries, clients, patients, animals and local communities.

Hosting Details: 1 week – 12 weeks, 8 hours per day

Qualifications the volunteer should posses:
– Academic background, studies or demonstrated interest relevant to the selected internship or volunteering field.
– Genuine interest in gaining practical experience and learning from professionals and host organizations.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with professionals, colleagues and members of the local community.
– Professional attitude, reliability, adaptability and willingness to learn.
– Cultural awareness and openness to working
