by WHEN Equity Empowerment Change

Organization Description:
WHEN | Equity · Empowerment · Change is an organization that aims to empower women professionally and promote gender equality in the workplace. It focuses on individual empowerment, through mentoring, training, community building, career and legal counselling, as well as on bringing about positive change in the social, work and economic environment in which we all grow, learn and work. To this end, it provides consulting and training to companies and organizations, conducts research to better understand the needs of women and the gaps in gender equality in Greece, formulates policy proposals and creates campaigns to raise awareness about the obstacles that women still face today in their equal participation in public life. Since its founding in 2012, the organization has facilitated more than 1,800 mentoring partnerships through a network of 1000+ active mentors, has trained over 4,500 women through professional development and empowerment seminars and more than 12,000 corporate executives, and has carried out 300+ collaborations with companies and organizations and 32 research projects and tools on gender equality. In 2024, the organization created the WHEN Hub, the first hub for women's empowerment and gender equality in Greece, which, among other things, provides creative play services for children 0-12, while their parents use the space to get trained, work, network and build their financial independence.

Activity details

Volunteering Activity Description:

Do you want to share your knowledge and experience with someone facing a professional challenge or seeking support and guidance regarding their career path? We want you with us!
We know you have valuable experiences and knowledge to share, to support another woman in becoming what she can and wants to become. If you feel you have the passion needed to guide other women in their professional journey, we invite you to become a mentor with the WHEN organization!
What is mentoring
The mentor helps the mentee clarify goals related to her professional development and organize a plan to achieve those goals, by sharing with her the experiences and knowledge she has gained throughout her own path. Essentially, she turns her own experience into a stepping stone, so her mentee can climb a little more easily, a little higher.
