A wish is an inherent part of the healing journey, that’s why we are committed to granting the wish of every child that meets our criteria. Research shows that children whose wish has been granted can regain the physical and emotional strength they need to go through very serious illnesses. Make-A-Wish was founded in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1980 and it is the leading organization granting wishes of children in the entire world. With offices in more than 50 countries and more than 40,000 volunteers, it has granted more than 450,000 wishes globally—every 17 minutes a child’s wish comes true somewhere in the world. In Greece, generous sponsors, supporters, employees and 300 volunteers around the country have joined forces and grant on average one wish every 40 hours. Volunteering Activity Description:

The volunteer will support the daily operation of the organization’s IT equipment and systems, ensuring the smooth functioning of the technological environment under the supervision of the IT Manager.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide daily technical support to end users (helpdesk)
• Manage and support the Microsoft 365 / Office 365 platform (accounts, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Manage and monitor Cloud and NAS Servers – backups, access, security
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, IP settings, firewall)
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues on PCs – installation, upgrade, replacement of components
• Basic troubleshooting of telephone devices
• Organize and arrange warehouse materials

Qualifications the volunteer should posses:
• Very good to excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
• Specialization in the use and management of Microsoft 365 / Office 365
• Experience with Cloud Server and NAS Server infrastructures
• Good knowledge of local and remote networks and VPN technologies
• Excellent knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting
• Problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and team spirit
