With support from THI, HIGGS has launched a tailor-made volunteering program designed specifically for the THI global community. At its core is a user-friendly digital platform that allows individuals from around the world to engage in meaningful volunteer work—on their own schedule and in locations that suit them best. The platform currently features 28 diverse volunteering opportunities across Greece, spanning humanitarian aid, environmental protection, and economic development. By connecting diaspora Greeks and friends of Greece with high-impact causes, the program empowers volunteers to give back in ways that are personal, flexible, and deeply impactful.
The Hellenic Initiative (THI) is a global, nonprofit, secular institution mobilizing the Greek Diaspora and Philhellene community to support sustainable economic recovery and renewal for Greece and its people. Our programs address humanitarian aid through strong nonprofit organizations, led by heroic Greeks that are serving their country. They also build capacity in a new generation of heroes, the business leaders and entrepreneurs with the skills and values to promote the long term growth of Hellas.
