THI continues to support the expansion of Odyssea’s innovative model to Thessaloniki for a second year, addressing the city’s persistently high youth unemployment and critical gaps in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and employment services. The program empowers young people with the tools they need to shape their own futures. In 2024 alone, it created 136 jobs—and in 2025, it aims to create 200 more, building a more inclusive and resilient workforce for northern Greece.
The Hellenic Initiative (THI) is a global, nonprofit, secular institution mobilizing the Greek Diaspora and Philhellene community to support sustainable economic recovery and renewal for Greece and its people. Our programs address humanitarian aid through strong nonprofit organizations, led by heroic Greeks that are serving their country. They also build capacity in a new generation of heroes, the business leaders and entrepreneurs with the skills and values to promote the long term growth of Hellas.
