In 2025, THI funds support the on-site upskilling of 24 young mastic producers on Chios, where the decline in mastic trees poses serious challenges to the island’s unique agricultural heritage. Through a train-the-trainer model, participants will gain the skills to educate others in their community, ultimately impacting as many as 6,000 individuals involved in mastic production and trade.
