Basketball, games, skills workshops, meet-ups with inspirational personalities, creativity, and many more activities for children and teenagers!
The THI Summer Youth Academy, the summer basketball camp by The Hellenic Initiative in partnership with Eurohoops Organization, is back for a second consecutive year, revamped and with many more activities. Starting June 30 to July 25, 2025, the facilities of Leonteios School of Athens in Patissia will be transformed into a colorful hub of sports, learning, and creativity for boys and girls aged 10–17.
The THI Summer Youth Academy program includes two sessions, lasting two weeks each (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), that will accommodate at least 100 children. It aims to become the highlight of the summer for any child or teenager seeking to combine fun with personal development. At the heart of the program is, of course, basketball, with training sessions, games, and basketball schools. The many and various activities include leadership, collaboration, and digital safety skills workshops, a comic art workshop, breakdance classes, a visit to the Olympic Museum, as well as meetings with inspirational personalities who will offer motivation and encouragement. The THI Summer Youth Academy will kick off with a grand opening celebration, featuring celebrity guests and many surprises for participants.
Are you 10–17 years old? Put on your sneakers, wear your brightest smile, and come enjoy the summer at the THI Summer Youth Academy!
Participation is free. No prior basketball experience is required—just bring your positive energy. The application deadline is on June 1, 2025. Click here to learn more and submit your application now!
Additionally, this year, the THI Summer Youth Academy will visit Athens neighborhoods with a “mobile basketball hoop” as part of Novibet’s “Giant Heart Roadshow.” The Roadshow will deliver a series of free events for all ages, filled with games and fun, held at renovated courts through Novibet’s social responsibility program, Giant Heart.
The THI Summer Youth Academy is being implemented for the second consecutive summer in Greece by The Hellenic Initiative (THI) in partnership with the Eurohoops Organization. The goal is to bring together more than 100 young people who want to grow and have fun through basketball. It’s open to ages 10–17, with priority given to children and teens most in need, offering them a unique life experience that will stay with them both on and off the court.
Sponsors: The Hellenic Initiative, Giant Heart by Novibet, Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, Motoroil, John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, and Piraeus.
