The Hellenic Initiative announced on July 6 that Tina Courpas is moving on from THI to pursue other opportunities and that Peter Poulos will become Interim Executive Director.
Andrew Liveris, Board Chairman of THI, commented, “Tina has been a great asset to a Hellenic Initiative in her time with us and we wish her the very best in her new endeavors.”
George Stamas, Board President, noted, “Tina will remain an important part of THI going forward, as we look forward to her continued contributions. I know we speak for the whole Board in expressing our deep gratitude for her dedication to THI’s mission and for all we have accomplished together. And it is very exciting for all of us to welcome back Peter Poulos as THI’s Interim Executive Director. His previous service for many years helped build THI into the institution it is today.”
Courpas expressed her thanks “to the Board of THI for the opportunity to serve this remarkable organization for the last three years. And thank you to the THI family for your friendship. I look forward to being part of the THI family always.”
Poulos said, “I am honored to serve as interim Executive Director, and I thank Tina for leaving THI in an incredibly strong position. We have a lot of momentum and are looking forward to a number of achievements in the near future as we kick off our new 1821 Membership Society and build on our record-breaking Galas last year. I am grateful for everyone’s trust and confidence.”
