The Hellenic Initiative announces its support, for a second consecutive year, towards the entrepreneurial educational “Company Program”, implemented in public and private schools around Greece, by SEN/JA Greece. The Company Program teaches high school students how to transform their business ideas from concepts to products. Each year the winning team gets to represent Greece at the European Trade Fair organized by JA Europe.
THI’s support has helped the program expand to a wider number of schools, within and outside the country’s main cities. The participation of 120 schools with 2.300 students and 120 mentors in this year’s cycle is indicative of the program’s success. Also 70% of this year’s participating schools, are located outside the country’s main cities
The 11th National Trade Fair of SEN/JA will take place in Athens on February 10 at “The Mall Athens”, with participating schools from Central Greece, the Peloponnese, Crete, and the Aegean islands, and on February 17 at “The Mediterranean Cosmos” in Thessaloniki, with participating schools from Northern Greece and the Ionian islands.
THI’s support to this program is an example of the organization’s focus towards the future of Greece and the generations to come.
Michael Printzos, THI’s Director of Programming, stated: “THI’s continuous support to SEN/JA Greece underlines our commitment to the youth of Greece, so as to provide them with valuable experiences, but above all, with opportunities to further enrich their knowledge and capabilities”.
Argiris Tzikopoulos, CEO of SEN/JA Greece, added: “The support of The Hellenic Initiative gives to our organization the opportunity to continue and expand our important mission teaching young Greeks how to transform a business idea from concept to reality”.
