Alexander Sirris started a Facebook Fundraiser for THI and managed to raise $4,423 for the Wildfires Relief Fund!

“I know fires have been a huge deal in Greece! Even ever since I was younger I remember fires burning through areas of Southern Greece. I recall a time – 10-15 years ago – I had fallen ill and I was laying outside of my Grandparents house watching ash from the mountain fires fall over Kalamata.

After seeing the horrors of the fires in Mati and not being able to come volunteer in the relief effort; I wanted to do the next best thing. I’m fortunate enough that I have the platform and support of those around me in launching a successful campaign for those in need.  I hope this shows kids, parents, and those living abroad and around the world that anyone can spring into action to help.”

A first generation Greek American, Alexander was born and raised in Virginia Beach.  His parents are from Kalamata and Chios island. He is a graduate from George Mason University with a Finance degree and currently working in tech as a customer success analyst for Facebook.
